Dining Out in Bangkok? Start With a Soup at Victoria

When dining out in Bangkok, the details matter. At Victoria, every soup on the menu begins with a real base, fresh ingredients, and a slow simmer that makes it all worth it. Four soups, all made from scratch every single day, all worth coming in for.

Four French Soups Made From Scratch, Perfect for Dining Out in Bangkok.

Mushroom Soup

New to the menu, our mushroom soup brings together three varieties of mushroom, each prepared differently. Two of them are cut and slow-baked in the oven to draw out and intensify their natural flavour before being deglazed in the pan. The third is dried and used to produce a deep, concentrated mushroom stock. The 3 are brought together, finished with cream, and blended until smooth. A classic French mushroom soup with plenty of depth and a smooth, creamy finish. Learn more about our menu here

Lobster Bisque

One of Victoria's best-selling dishes, our lobster bisque, is also one of the most labour-intensive soups we make. Our lobster bisque is built from lobster shells and lobster meat, for maximum flavour. Slowly developed into a bisque that is bold, deeply savoury, and unmistakably French. If you are dining out in Bangkok and want a soup that feels richer and more indulgent, this is the one to order.

Pumpkin Soup

Across Europe, pumpkin soup is an autumn ritual. At Victoria, we make ours from fresh pumpkin, simmered slowly in our own house stock until perfectly tender, then blended smooth with a dash of cream. Gentle sweetness, real depth, and a warmth that makes you want to linger a little longer. Available year-round, it brings a little seasonal comfort to the menu whatever the month.

French Onion Soup

From autumn to winter, French onion soup has been warming people up for centuries, and its origins are as humble as cooking gets. Onions were cheap, plentiful, and one of the few things that kept well through the long winter months. The French made extraordinary use of them. Slow-cooked until deeply sweet, finished with a rich stock and gratinated bread, the soup that was once peasant food became one of the most beloved classics in French cuisine. At Victoria, we make ours exactly as it deserves to be made. Respected, simple, and a perfect comfort dish on rainy days.

Homemade Croutons and Gratinated Bread From Our In-House Bakery

Every soup that calls for bread is accompanied by homemade sourdough from our in-house bakery. We also turn that same sourdough into croutons, baked until crisp and golden so they hold their texture in the bowl. Soup, fresh bread, and a table in your favourite corner. Sometimes, that’s all you need for a good lunch.

A Reason to Come In

Dining out in Bangkok gives you endless options. Victoria gives you a reason to stay. Four soups, all made from scratch, poured tableside in a French brasserie setting that makes the whole experience feel like exactly what comfort food is supposed to be.
